Each year several school communities including parents, grandparents, trustees, special friends, members of High Point Friends Meeting, vendors, and the faculty and staff are asked to consider a contribution to the High Point Friends School Annual Fund. Participation in the HPFS Annual Fund helps to ensure that our school's financial objectives are met. By your support, you are leading by example and showing the children and the entire HPFS family the importance you place on the quality of our students' education.
What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is the Trustees’ primary fundraising vehicle for High Point Friends School. It generates a critical component of the School’s operating budget. By maximizing our financial resources, HPFS is better able to attract and retain highly experienced and qualified faculty with more competitive salaries, upgrade technology and instructional materials, fund small capital projects and construction, help underwrite collateral educational opportunities and enhance the overall learning experience for our students. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of an HPFS education. Thus, every student in the school is subsidized by the Annual Fund.
What role do I play in fundraising?
The various communities listed above have customarily supported their schools with financial giving. This philanthropic tradition has a long history among independent schools in the United States. Your tax deductible contribution aids in keeping our tuition and fees as competitive as possible, while fostering academic excellence, spiritual values and social responsibility. We hope you will see the benefit in joining with other HPFS communities in support of the 2008.2009 Annual Fund.
Where do we now stand in the 2008.2009 fund drive?
The High Point Friends School 2008.2009 Annual Fund drive is now well underway and will run through February 28, 2009. Gift letters have gone out to our principal constituencies. We are proud to say that we already have 100% participation by the school's Board of Trustees. We have already seen significant contributions from faculty & staff, grandparents, parents and vendors. We will soon begin posting figures showing our progress. These numbers will be updated from time to time, so check back frequently to see how we're doing.
How do I participate?
Below is a sample Donor Card that you may use as a guideline. All contributions to the HPFS Annual Fund are sincerely appreciated. Simply mail your check to the school marked "2008.2009 Annual Fund" and we'll handle the rest. You will receive an acknowledgment conforming with IRS tax deductible gift laws.
Thank you for your consideration. Your contribution will make a real and lasting difference.
