HPFS Kindergarten class shares the love of reading…

The Kindergarten class at High Point Friends School has collected over 400 books to provide a helping hand to the children in Randolph County.

The Kindergarten class at High Point Friends School wanted to share their love of reading, and saw an opportunity to help other children in the area by collecting and donating books to the Randolph County Partnership for Children program.   The class comprised of five and six year olds, set out to collect 100 books.  They brought in over 100 books, and when the rest of school heard about this, they also wanted to help.  The entire High Point Friends School student body collected 412 new or like new books to donate to this wonderful cause.  The books were delivered to The Randolph County Partnership for Children program, and will end up in homes all around the county.

The Randolph County Partnership for Children collects books to distribute to families in Randolph County as part of their Parents as Teachers program.  This program is a home-based family literacy model that serves families with children ages 1-4.  To read more information about this wonderful program, visit their website at:

News from the recent past...

HPFS student featured on the local news channel...

Stebbins Lawson, a fourth grade student here at High Point Friends School, was recently featured on the local news for his kind heart in reaching out to others. He has been a pen pal for a local WWII veteran, and over time has had the opportunity to meet this gentleman, and has even welcomed him into this family. We are very blessed to have children like Stebbins here at HPFS!! His compassion and sincerity encourages others to do the same.
