Anticipation in Middle School has been at an all-time high. After battling through "the year that will never be forgotten" our Middle Schoolers were ready to cut loose and have some fun. What activity would allow them to celebrate the upcoming holiday and forget the troubles of 2020? Easy...the First Annual Middle School Elf Christmas Tree Decorating Competition, or as some folks call it the FAMSECT-DC (nobody calls it that).
Our awesome students were placed in small groups of fours and fives. Each group was given one box of supplies to create Christmas Tree decorations and given one hour to complete their task. Sprinkled throughout the festivities were special challenges & twists. Winners of these challenges were given bonuses for their team to use and in some cases these bonuses may have had a significant impact on the outcome (clears throat).
As you can see from the pictures, there were some monumental Christmas Tree Designs!
