What led you to HPFS?
Many, many years ago (1996 to 1998-ish) parents wanted an enrichment component to the preschool program. They decided on foreign language, namely Spanish. Through various connections and "people who knew people", I was asked (as a recent college graduate with a Spanish degree) to lead the preschool Spanish program. That led to an opportunity to assist in the 3-year-old class, then 2-year-old class, then 4-year-old class, and I'm still here all these years later!
Why do you love HPFS?
I love the sense of community and togetherness at HPFS. I love the families we serve and the chance to get to know each child individually. I really enjoy seeing my former preschoolers as they grow up and go through the school. This is the only "real" place I've worked, and I can't imagine working anywhere else with better people!
Why do you teach?
I love it! The kids keep me young, and I enjoy being with them. I can be creative, nurturing, silly and play all while imparting a love of learning to the kids and also learning from them.
