Our Admissions Process

You are welcome here.

High Point Friends School, guided by the Quaker principle of honoring that of God in each of us, does not discriminate on the basis of religious beliefs, ethnicity, national origin, sex, economic and cultural background, or disability (to the extent that reasonable accommodations are feasible) in the admission of students or in the administration of any of its academic or co-curricular programs.

Admissions Process

Explore the possibilities of an exceptional independent school education that is within reach for your family.

We are now accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year.

Join us for an Open House on Thursday, April 2 at 8:15am.  All families are invited to join who are considering HPFS for their child ages 2 through 8th grade.  RSVP here!

For any other questions, contact Emily Martin, Assistant Head of School: emartin@hpfs.org, 336-886-5516.

We strongly recommend a tour before submitting an application.  Once your family has visited, you can reserve your child's spot by completing and submitting the online application, along with the non-refundable $75 application fee.

Next steps

Once you have submitted your initial application, our admissions team will process it and provide you with an applicant checklist through your Parent Portal. If you haven't accessed the Parent Portal yet, please check your email (including spam folder) for the message titled "Connect with High Point Friends School" and follow the instructions to create access to your Parent Portal.

Student Evaluation and Academic Assessment

As part of our admissions process, we conduct a brief student evaluation and academic assessment. This helps us gain a better understanding of your child's abilities and ensures a good fit within our educational environment.

Student Visit

We also require a student visit to provide your child with an opportunity to experience our school firsthand. This visit allows them to interact with our teachers and fellow students.

Additional Materials
In addition to the evaluation, assessment, and visit, we may request the following materials to complete your application:

  • Immunization records
  • Individualized Education Program (IEP), report cards, or other relevant academic documents
  • Teacher recommendations
  • Health forms
Rolling Admissions

We accept applications throughout the year, and mid-year transfers are welcome if space permits. However, we encourage you to submit your application by the priority deadline of March 1 for optimal consideration.
