Giving Back
Each year, the first philanthropic priority for HPFS is to create and maintain a vibrant Annual Fund. Gifts to the Annual Fund are unrestricted and are immediately put to use to support and enhance faculty, students, and student programs from early childhood through 8th-grade graduation. Each gift matters and your thoughtful support is greatly appreciated.
The Annual Fund is an essential component of the School’s operating budget and helps fund every facet of the HPFS student experience, including but not limited to:
- Attracting and retaining a top-notch faculty
- Providing innovative programming
- Enhancing academic excellence, support, and enrichment
- Integrating new technology in all divisions
- Supporting excellence in the arts and athletics
- Maintaining and improving our facilities
- Strengthening our financial foundation
We ask that your first gift to the school each year be to the Annual Fund. Thank you for considering making a gift at a level that feels right to you for the 2020-2021 Together, We CARE (Community Action Reaps Success) campaign ending on June 30, 2021.
If you have any questions about the Annual Fund, please contact Lore Fariss, Director of Development at lfariss@hpfs.org
Thank you!
HOW CAN I MAKE A GIFT?
You can make a one-time donation or pledge a monthly or quarterly amount to be paid by June 30. The School accepts gifts made by check, cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express), and gifts of securities Gifts can be made using our secure online donation form, or by mailing or dropping off a check to the School Office. For instructions regarding gifts of securities, please contact Michael Robinson at Michael@hpfs.org.
Participation in the Annual Fund shows that you believe in the HPFS mission. Giving what you can is an important way to show your support for HPFS. Each gift, regardless of amount, is essential to helping us reach our participation goals.
Gifts at any level are equal in meaning as expressions of faith in the school. Gifts at higher levels differ in their function because larger gifts do more for the school’s operating budget. When considering how much to give, we ask that you make a gift at a level that feels right to you.
Even full tuition pays for only about 85% of the actual cost of educating a student. The financial model that underpins HPFS’s annual operating budget and helps us keep tuition costs in check depends on three principal sources of revenue: endowment income, tuition revenue, and the philanthropy of alumni, parents, and friends. Your annual support is a vital component of that financial equation.
The Annual Fund directly supports our operating budget, so if you see it in school, odds are the Annual Fund helped pay for it or currently helps maintain it – chrome books, books, teacher salaries, sports uniforms, art and music supplies, and much, much more.
Yes! Honor cards for teachers are available in the Development Office, or you can send an honor card through our online giving page. Please contact Lore Fariss for more information.
